WHAT IS TELEMENTAL HEALTH?

Telemental health is mental health care that is provided remotely or from a distance. Services are provided via secure video conference or phone rather than an in-office setting.

WHAT ARE THE PROS AND CONS OF TELEMENTAL HEALTH?

Benefits include more access to mental health care, convenience, no required travel, and reduced exposure to harmful bacteria or viruses. Potential drawbacks include technical issues, inability to control interruptions at client site, reduced ability to use visual cues, and telemental health may not be an appropriate form of treatment for all clients based on their mental health needs.

HOW DO YOU KEEP MY INFORMATION PRIVATE AND SAFE?

Access Therapy Services, LLC uses secure video conference, phone, and message services to protect your information. As required for HIPAA compliance, business associate agreements are obtained from all vendors used during the provision of services to minimize the risk of your private information being released without your permission.

HOW OFTEN WILL MY SESSIONS BE AND HOW MANY WILL I NEED?


Sessions can be scheduled weekly, monthly, or as often as you need. The total number of sessions will be based on your specific therapeutic goals and how you progress toward those goals. Your therapist can suggest a schedule and an approximate number of meetings after learning more about your needs.

WHAT IS PREPARE/ENRICH?

PREPARE/ENRICH is a proven evidence-based program used with couples to help improve their relationships. The program is not appropriate for all couples. In addition to the cost of sessions, there is a one-time fee of $35 the couple will pay to PREPARE/ENRICH which covers the cost of the online assessments both partners will have to complete. DO YOU PRESCRIBE MEDICATION?

No, medication prescriptions are currently not provided.

DO YOU SEE KIDS?

Young children may find it difficult to engage in ongoing telehealth services. For this reason, you must be at least 14 years old to receive services.

DO YOU PROVIDE FAMILY THERAPY?

At this time, we are not providing family therapy. Only individual and couples therapy services are available.

WHAT IF I WANT TO SEE YOU FOR IN-PERSON SERVICES?

All therapy services will be provided via secure video conference or phone. Exceptions will only be made when deemed clinically necessary by the therapist for established clients.
